VirtualDJ officially supports OneLibrary
Expanding software options and enabling a more flexible DJ experience
AlphaTheta is pleased to announce that VirtualDJ now supports the OneLibrary music library format for DJs.
AlphaTheta is committed to promoting collaboration with industry partners to support the sustainable development of DJ culture and create a more open industry environment. As part of this initiative, AlphaTheta is collaborating with multiple DJ hardware and software brands to jointly establish OneLibrary, a unified music library format for DJs, which launched in October 2025 and works with products and applications from different manufacturers.
With the new support for OneLibrary, you can export the music collections you manage in VirtualDJ to a USB drive in the OneLibrary format and use them with compatible DJ hardware.
The following DJ hardware is currently supported:
* A version of VirtualDJ that supports OneLibrary is needed to use OneLibrary.
Stephane Clavel, CEO of Atomix Productions, said: “DJs shouldn’t have to adapt to technology – technology should adapt to DJs. That’s why VirtualDJ has always prioritized openness and compatibility, enabling DJs to use any hardware, any format, and any workflow without friction. We welcome initiatives like OneLibrary that move the industry toward greater interoperability and simplicity.”
OneLibrary is a platform that enables consistent library use across DJ hardware and software from different manufacturers and brands by standardizing information such as playlists, Hot Cue points, and beatgrid data. In the future, the initiative aims to enable a more flexible DJ environment.
To get the best performance from OneLibrary when using it with rekordbox, we recommend using the latest version of rekordbox (ver. 7 or later), which optimizes library management and synchronization functions for greater stability.
AlphaTheta will continue efforts to expand the adoption of OneLibrary and keep working on cross-industry standardization initiatives to help create an environment where DJs can freely express their creativity – no matter which brands’ products and services they use.
