Important Notice for Customers Using USB Devices with Our DJ Equipment

When exporting tracks and playlists from rekordbox to a USB drive, there are two library formats: OneLibrary and Device Library.

Some newer products, including CDJ-3000X, OPUS-QUAD, OMNIS-DUO and XDJ-AZ support USB devices exported using the newer library format called OneLibrary. Other products, such as CDJ-3000 and XDJ-XZ, currently read USB devices exported in the original Device Library format.

In some cases, playlists and tracks in Device Library format will appear on products such as the CDJ-3000, but may not appear on OneLibrary compatible units like the CDJ-3000X.

Important to note
Your music files and playlists are never deleted from your USB when connecting it to a player.

What to do
To ensure your playlists appear across all compatible devices, simply export your USB using the latest version of rekordbox (version 7.2.12 or later).
Depending on the state of your existing library, you may need to manually convert playlists. Please refer to the guide below for detailed instructions.

*In the latest version of rekordbox (ver. 7.2.12), both OneLibrary and Device Library are automatically generated when exporting to a USB drive, allowing playback on either type of hardware.

Upcoming Improvements from AlphaTheta
We’re working to further improve compatibility between the library formats. In rekordbox, we plan to enhance synchronization management features, and we’re preparing firmware updates for the CDJ-3000X that will support more flexible library loading.

About OneLibrary
OneLibrary provides a shared framework for managing playlist data, cue points, beatgrid information, and more in a common format. This foundation enables consistent library workflows across DJ hardware and software from different manufacturers and brands.
To make the most of the OneLibrary platform, we recommend using the latest version of rekordbox (ver.7.2.12 or later). The newest version optimizes library management and synchronization features, helping ensure a more stable workflow.

Our goal is to support a seamless DJ experience – one that allows creators to work freely, regardless of the software or hardware they choose. Through continued efforts toward industry-wide standardization, we’re committed to creating an environment where DJs can confidently express their creativity.

Please note: When using CDJ-3000 firmware version 3.30, OneLibrary is prioritized during loading. Currently, firmware version 3.22, which reads Device Library, is listed as the latest version. Please refer to the following page for more details.
