CDJ-3000X now supports Apple Music
Directly access and play songs from a catalog of over 100 million tracks
An update for the CDJ-3000X has introduced compatibility with Apple Music. The CDJ-3000X is our next-generation professional DJ player, which fully supports DJing with online music, including files saved to cloud storage platforms and songs from streaming services.
Thanks to this update, you can now access Apple Music directly from the CDJ-3000X. You can instantly browse more than 100 million tracks, the latest charts, and your favorite playlists that you listen to every day, giving you the freedom to choose what you want and DJ the way you like.
To use Apple Music on the CDJ-3000X, you’ll need to complete the CloudDirectPlay setup and sign in to Apple Music in rekordbox in advance. You can then authenticate using one of the following methods:
- Hold a compatible smartphone with rekordbox for iOS/Android installed over the NFC touch area on the CDJ-3000X.
- Scan the QR code displayed on the CDJ-3000X with your smartphone and authenticate via your web browser.
- Connect an authentication USB device prepared in rekordbox to the CDJ-3000X.
The 10.1-inch touchscreen on the CDJ-3000X offers excellent visibility and intuitive browsing, allowing you to search and select tracks from Apple Music smoothly. With Apple Music compatibility, you can now access millions more tracks on your device and preview them on the spot while choosing what to play next. And, using the Cloud Library Sync feature in rekordbox, your settings such as Hot Cues can be automatically synchronized across devices, so you’re ready to play at your best, wherever you DJ.

Apple Music and DJ Culture
Apple Music’s commitment to DJ culture extends across programs like DJ Mixes – home to thousands of premium mixes from the world’s most influential DJs – and Apple Music Club, the 24-hour radio station available around the world dedicated to dance and electronic. Apple Music’s Spatial Audio enhances the natural feel of the dance floor, immersing listeners in sets that define the culture.
* To use Apple Music with the CDJ-3000X, you need to update to the latest CDJ-3000X firmware (ver. 1.30) and the latest version of rekordbox for Mac/Windows (ver. 7.2.8).
* An Apple Music subscription is needed to use the streaming service.
* An internet connection is needed to play tracks from Apple Music.
* For the latest information on supported countries and regions, please refer to Apple’s official website.
* The CDJ-3000 does not feature Apple Music support. Even when connected to a PRO DJ LINK network, you can’t browse or play Apple Music tracks from the CDJ-3000.
